1) Scope

1.1 These terms and conditions of use for the premises and facilities of ProContext Consulting GmbH (hereinafter ‘ProContext’) apply to all premises and facilities offered for use by ProContext and supplement the General Terms and Conditions. The inclusion of the customer's own terms and conditions is hereby rejected, unless otherwise agreed.

2) General rules of conduct

2.1 Respect for other people: All users of the premises are obliged to behave respectfully and considerately towards other people present. Disrespectful verbal attacks, insults or any discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated. Should such an incident occur, does ProContext reserve the right to immediately expel the people concerned from the premises, terminate the contract without notice and ban them from the premises.

2.2 All premises and facilities are to be left clean and in proper condition.

2.3 The sound volume is to be kept at an appropriate level so as not to disturb other people.

2.4 The use of personal devices that are potentially disruptive or dangerous is prohibited.

2.5 Any unauthorized acquisition of third-party property or intellectual property is prohibited and will result in the immediate termination of the contract, a report to the police and expulsion from the premises.

3) Smoking and consumption of food and beverages

3.1 Smoking is prohibited throughout the building (i.e. in all rooms).

3.2 Consumption of food and beverages is only permitted in the designated areas.

4) Responsibility Liability for items brought in

4.1 ProContext does not accept any liability for loss of or damage to items brought in by people.

5) Liability of users of ProContext premises

5.1 Users of ProContext premises are liable for damage to the room or its equipment.

5.2 Any damage must be reported to ProContext immediately.

6) Obligation to report defects

6.1 Users are obliged to report any obvious defects or damages in the meeting room and the other rooms as well as to the provided equipment immediately after entering the premises. These defects must be reported to ProContext immediately so that appropriate measures can be taken. Subsequent complaints especially after the end of use will not be accepted.

7) Background noise

7.1 The meeting room is located in a central downtown location directly at the Cologne Cathedral in a quiet side street without constant car traffic. Nevertheless, it is possible in rare cases that sounds from events can be heard. This background noise is beyond the control of ProContext and must be accepted as part of the urban environment.

8)Domiciliary right

8.1 ProContext reserves the right to terminate the contract without notice and to deny access to the room in the event of violations of the terms of use .

9) Jurisdiction and ancillary provisions

9.1 If the customer is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law with its registered office in the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract shall be the registered office of ProContext. If the customer is domiciled outside the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, the registered office of ProContext shall be the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract.

9.2 Should one or more clauses of these terms and conditions be invalid in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
